Efficient Overload Handling The Tplink TL-SF1008P Kuwait includes a prioritization feature designed to safeguard the system during power overload situations. If the combined power consumption of all PoE PDs reaches or exceeds 57W, a priority scheme will be initiated among the PoE ports. The system will then deactivate power supply to the lowest-priority port.

Port Priority Function The Port Priority Function (port-1=port-2=port-3>port-4) ensures the smooth operation of the system. In practice, when the total power consumption of all PoE PDs exceeds 57W, Port 4 will be automatically deactivated. For example, if Port 1, 2, and 4 are utilizing 15.4W each (the maximum per-port power allocation), totaling 46.2W, and an additional PD requiring 12W is connected to Port 3, the system will deactivate Port 4 due to power overload. Consequently, Port 1, 2 will continue to receive 15.4W each, Port 3 will receive 12W, and no power will be supplied to Port 4.
